Pcx 160 pulley set on Click Vario 160
Hello, everyone! I have a question regarding the front pulley set for the PCX 160. It measures 127mm in diameter. Can it be compatible with the Click Vario 160? The Click Vario pulley set has a diameter of 123mm. Will using the larger PCX pulley result in a higher top speed? I'm curious about the reasoning behind using a bigger pulley on the PCX and a smaller one on the Click 160, considering they essentially share the same engine.
Has anyone had experience with this setup?
Best regards,
Gabriel

Why not just upgrade to an aftermarket Variator and Driveface?
From what I have seen the Click 160 and PCX 150 are the same 157cc engine if I'm not mistaken.

You are right. The 2 Valve is a 153cc. The 4 valve is a 156.9cc.

Have you put a caliper across the pulley to come up with 127mm. If so I can add it to my database.mandomfriman wrote: ↑Wed Oct 11, 2023 3:58 am Hello, everyone! I have a question regarding the front pulley set for the PCX 160. It measures 127mm in diameter.

The PCX has a 13" rear wheel as opposed to the Click having 14" rear wheel so the PCX needs to be geared a bit higher. The difference is 3% about the same as 123 vs 127.
Will a Click be faster with 3% higher gearing? Not necessarily. Maximum speed is governed by horsepower vs wind resistance. A PCX with 15.8hp should do around 126 kph in stock form. If you gear the bike up 3% the engine may not reach max hp. But if you add lighter weights it may.
You will have to buy a PCX outer pulley at 127mm, stick it on a Click and find out.

What is the diameter of this driveface? Maybe the driveface has a different angle which will force the belt further out but the stock engine will still have the same Hp. to overcome wind resistance. Of course the engine has to be allowed to generate that hp. so weights and exhaust system come into play.

Yes i have measure with caliper. the size is 126.7mm for PCX 160 and 123.7mm for the click 160. . Ohh i did not think of the wheel size. so thats why ... I try the pcx pulley on with 13.8 angle on my bike no diffrent on topspeed almost same.... SO its al about the wheel size.. Thanks for the help!! i will stick with modified click 160 pulley!

Did you try it and did it fit inside the housing?mandomfriman wrote: ↑Wed Oct 11, 2023 3:58 am Hello, everyone! I have a question regarding the front pulley set for the PCX 160. As others have said my first choice would be to buy an aftermarket big pulley, hopefully one with a 13° face.
