valve clearance noise ?

Hi all,
when I start my bike the engine runs quietely as expected, however once properly warmed up there is a ticking sound which sounds similar to valve clearance. I have set the valve clearances as per Honda's spec but the noise is still there. I question whether its valve clearance as the noise only occurs when the engine is running at the correct temp and totally quiet when cold. Could this still be valve clearance issue or could there be some other item in the engine that can make this noise ? I have changed oil religiously as soon as each oil change interval has been reached.
Any ideas and I would be grateful
