Countershaft Change - Best speed for least effort.

These details are for a 2014-2018 model PCX150.

Maddiedog put up a great post about changing the final drive gears.

However, you don't need to press out the gears to make a big change.
By only replacing the countershaft sprocket (number 6 in about image), you can make big changes.

Here is a table of the speed changes for different gears.

You can see my driveshaft, counter gear, and final drive are the stock teeth number, but I only changed the countershaft to a 16T (tooth), and it gave me a 23% better speed (compared to Maddiedog's 25%).

I've had it running for 8,000km and just checked the sprocket. It still looks good.
You'll need to check any products against your scooter model number.

Importantly, I didn't do this to make the scooter a lot faster, but do reduce the engine rpm.
AT 120km/h on a flat road the scooter wouldn't go faster. You'll need to change the cylinder head for that.
