Everyone --

I'm busy working, chasing a kindergartner and a two-year-old, and taking care of a wife with Multiple Sclerosis, so I'm not online much anymore. My phone blips if I get a private message, so if you see any spam, PLEASE private message me immediately! Hitting the report button does report the post, but I'll always reply faster to PMs.

In addition, please do not reply to spam threads. Doing so only brings more attention to the thread.

You guys are AWESOME! I got no less than 3 emails about spam, and nuked all of them!!

That said, I think it's time we get some more moderators to get a faster response. If you've been here for more than two years, feel as though you have significantly contributed content-wise to the forum, and are interested in helping moderate (basically control spam, keep politics / religion threads shut down, and to keep people polite), PM me! I'm looking for two good moderators.

We do need a few Moderator's. I'm aware we have a few onboard with Mod experience. Some are still Mods elsewhere on the WWW. (Of course, I remember!

It looks like the new forum engine allowed a bunch of spam through. I've nuked a bunch of it and updated the spam countermeasures... Please PM me if you see spam so I can act on it quickly. Thanks everyone!

Wow, that was a lot of spam.

Huge thanks to airhead83 for reporting it all so it was easy to whack, and whitenoise for emailing me to notify me I needed to log in and play spam whackamole!

Please PM me if you see more and I'll keep playing whackamole. CAPCHA v3 seems to be working, these are old spam accounts that have been lying dormant coming to life. There's a special place in hell for spammers...

We had a really bad spam attack while I was out of town over the holidays. I just deleted over 10k spam posts across over 200 users.

AS A REMINDER, PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO SPAM THREADS! Instead, use the Report button so they're easier to find.

Especially when we have a huge spam attack like this, people replying to spam threads makes them take longer to cleanup.

This is insane. I have now cranked the spam filter up to 100%. I apologize in advanced if this is a hindrance to people registering, but we're still getting over 100 spam posts and 10+ accounts a day.

If that doesn't work, I'm going to have to disable registration for a few weeks to see if things calm down.
