SHAD top box mounting kit and SHAD SH34 review.

Post by sc00ter »

I got a SHAD top box mounting kit and a new carbon fiber look SH34. The SHAD top box kit mounts VERY solid with quality mounting hardware and decent instructions. I'm a SHAD fanboy and have used them since SHAD started importing to the USA. I also got a slightly bigger top box from my old SH29 to a slightly larger SH34 "carbon fiber" model. I'm not sure if the carbon fiber is a wrap or its molded in but it looks good in person and fits the style of the PCX. Pictures to come!

I did like everyone else and didn't bother drilling holes and re-using the cover plate on the PCX rack. You don't notice it missing unless I point it out. I used blue Loctite on all the fasteners to ensure it wont come loose. I have bad roads and a bunch of railroad tracks in my 'hood and you can't slow down or you'll get ran over!

SHAD started making their top boxes (not sure if all them are) in Indonesia instead of Spain. The quality is still top notch. Again. I'll get pictures up when I get time. The old SH29 has a very silver color top plate on it so it would have clashed with my matte "metallic" brown color plus I wanted something a bit larger anyways, hence the SH34. Both top boxes use the same base plate so I can swap them out easily if needed.

I also have a picture with the cover plate on covering those 4 red screw mounts but it won't load?

Thanks.. That's a really nice setup. Can see why you like the Shad. How's that windshield ? [comfort] Is the original seat a keeper?
Enjoy it in good health.

Yeah.... noticed You already reviewed the shield. [old-timers] : ) Hope they get the key problem solved.
Once that's done, think you're really going to enjoy it.
