honda discontinued the Idle Air Control Valve (IACV) for 2

i was getting a check engine light for the code 29, related to the Idle Air Control Valve, there is some diagnostics on how to check the valve, and the stepper motor in the valves doesn't appear to be working right, so went to order a new part. partzilla showed on the exploded 3d part view of the throttle body that the IACTis discontinued, and there is a new replacement part. I ordered the new part, but the 4-pin connector is different. so now i have a new IACV, but no way to install it. doesn't appear that the updated 4-pin connector has a part number that i could order.

anyone experience this? any chance someone knows how i could get my hands on the updated connector?

i was goign to check ebay for a 'new' IACV in the old configuration...and run the risk that an ebay part isn't really new. but i'm a bit desperate.

signed up for the scooter cannonball in June, and need to get this rough idle fixed.

You have the same issue I had way back in the days with my 2017. From what I learned, 2017 and some 2018 have cross over parts from the parts bin. The original sensor and the replacement might not be the same on the mounting surface either.

What I had to do was change a small section of the wire harness that goes from the main WH to the Throttle body sub-harness. I also had to change the entire throttle body assembly which includes TPS and new 4 pin IAC.
