Tire size purchase problems?

Post by RandalllFlaggg »

Hello, all.
I have a 2022 PCX 150. Swapped out the stock tires last September for Michelin City Grip 2 tires. When I ordered them from the same shop I bought the bike, they ordered the wrong size and I had to wait for the correct size to arrive before I could ride again. Thought it was a typo, and thought nothing of it at the time.
March of this year, I got a horrible slash in my rear tire on my way to work, and had to get another rear tire. I ordered another Michelin City Grip 2 at the same shop and waited the 2 weeks for it to arrive. Well, it was the wrong size again and I had to wait...again.
After that was done, I decided I should get spares for both and ordered tires and wheels. The guy seemed to have issues finding the right tire yet again. Took almost a half hour to complete the order. Somehow, I don't think he ordered the correct tire (The receipt reads 130/70-13 and it's supposed to be 14 for the front tire).
After getting the bike, I wanted to upgrade the tires and read that Michelin City Grip 2 and Pirelli Diablos were the best. When going on their sites, I couldn't find the exact sizes that my bike uses. Frustration mounts..

Anyone here buy their own tires from online sites that you would recommend?
Thanks in advance.

If a shop ordered the wrong tires once, I would never use them again. I always buy my tires online myself sized to match what's on the bike. Partzilla is my go-to for everything scooter related.

I know the newer PCX has a 14 front 13 rear. Unlike the 14 front/rear like older model PCX's.

Agreed. Problem is that I couldn't find them at Partzilla or even Michelin's site in the exact size my bike takes.
I know they exist. Attaching pictures with this post. I rode home from work on them this morning.
Are there any other sites that I might have better luck with?
