Re: Motorcycle Helmets
The best helmet is really the one which conforms to the required safety standards and is most comfortable on your head.
Forget crash protection, Marco Simoncelli was wearing the best gear money could buy when he died and it made no difference whatsoever.

How is using bluetooth in the helmet? I've thought about getting a kit like that, but I'm afraid no one will be able to understand me talk!
Really ? it fits pretty snug then, and it was in a like new condition, I'll just have to take my chances I guess

The Schuberth bluetooth system is about £200, theres no way i'm paying for that (nobody calls me anyway lol) what I got was just headphones for music. Fits nicely in the recess for the bluetooth tho.

As long as it fits snug everywhere, you're probably alright. I'd just make sure to get your next helmet new.

Re: Motorcycle Helmets
when i bought my PCX i decided that my old cheap white and blue thing didn't match my new shiny black bike so bought myself and AVG Stealth SV.

really pleased with it, sun visor is great, it's very comfy, i think it looks great, the problem is, even with the noise dampeners in (they are supplied) it is still a bit noisy from wind. but i like it. i can't remember how much it was but it wasn't cheap

Re: Motorcycle Helmets
im always too nervous to say hi to other motorcyclists as the helmet hides what sort of person they can be, feel like waving to every biker i see but they might think im nuts
also i use a Caberg Konda which i got free with my bike, already helped me when i cam off a week ago, luckily was just the visor totalled, new visor was £37

Re: Motorcycle Helmets
i always nod my head and if i am parked up i will always speak to someone, there was a white PCX parked where i normally park on saturday in Kettering, i wanted to leave a message telling about this forum. i never got to speak to them

Motorcycle Helmets
I only ever give a nod if they nod at me first. Feel like a right fanny if you nod and they don't nod back.

Nice helmet, PT63. Modular / flip-up helmets are great, I can't stand my normal helmet anymore.

Re: Motorcycle Helmets
only bad thing that I've heard about modular helmets is that they are HEAVY. All the ones I tried on support this, hows yours?

The Schuberth C3 is only 1550g - don't know how this compares to full face.EddieC wrote:only bad thing that I've heard about modular helmets is that they are HEAVY. All the ones I tried on support this, hows yours?
