still too much at the moment for me, but i need to get them done soon, i messed up today, gave my bike a good clean, and tried to push back the front right panel where it came unkooked fromt he main headlamp, and the panel cracked. quite visible.
i might get the whole lot in a month or two when i have the money hopefully and get them replaced in the summer. i wasnt sure if these were the same sort id be charged £700 for in the uk
im assuming they are, id check with the seller though. There arent any differences between the UK and asia models, except some had brown panels where we have black (fuel flap etc) its the US one that has the indicators on stalks so should be fine.
good idea about the colours. i guess i could even repair mine with fibreglass like i use on my yacht and repaint them red. but i do like the black, its sleek
as for idle stop, thats one reason i chose the PCX when i saw it while looking at scooters. i use idle stop all the time while commuting after letting the engine warm up
There are any number of repair options for panels. Try back issues of practical sportsbike magazine as the guys running 80s/90s Japs with plastics don't have the option of buying new.
Far cheaper and more satisfaction to be gained from learning to repair them yourself.
I've just smashed a wing mirror and put a nasty hole in one of my panels. Totally my fault and I feel completely stupid for the way it happened too. I think I'll wait until the winter is over before I get a new panel - just in case of snow and ice etc. causes more grief. But I'll have to get a new mirror.
