Riding double...
My lady has been pleading to go for a ride on my PCX 150 since I picked it up. I told her that I wanted at least a thousand miles on the road before I would even consider taking her for a ride. Well she was keeping track so we have ventured out a bit and last Sunday we took a ride to the new Hindu Temple in Chino Hills, CA. About 60 miles round trip and great fun. The Temple was amazing on the outside and the all white, Italian marble hand carved in India, interior without exageration was overwhelming.

Re: Riding double...
Nice.
My wife flat refuses to go on the scooter, which is both good and bad.

Re: Riding double...
Eva is from Taiwan and has a lot more experience than I have around scooters. I got hooked on scooters when we spent 15 days last November in Japan and Taiwan. By the time we arrived home I had to have one and of course she said "no way!" So I was pleased she took the high road : ) She has a great story from when she was a young girl in Taiwan and a relative was riding, as they will do there, with two passengers; one in front and another in back. It seems it was a long ride and both of the passengers were falling asleep and she swears that he had to ask them to at least lean in different directions. The reason I believe this story is because of the crazy scooter behavior I witnessed on a few rainy days in Taipei.
Re: Riding double...
We just added the Honda top case to our PCX -- both for carrying capacity and to add a more secure feeling for the passenger.
I remember having a Corbin seat on a previous motorcycle where I could locate the backrest either for the driver or the passenger ... or remove it all together.
Cool.
Very cool destination, That Guy!

Thanks gokidd! I just received my new Honda top case and then realized the lock cylinder was not included, so I'm waiting for that to have the box installed. Eva mentioned she would like to have something to lean back on so it's a surprise accessory for her. Like we need any additional motivation to consider accessories.

This forum will drive you accessory-mad, for sure.
The top case in combination with a riding jacket that has a foam back protector is just the ticket, according to my wife.
She enjoys the added security of having a backrest and the back protector provides a thin amount of cushioning.
Happy surprise accessory to Eva!

Re: Riding double...
This forum didn't drive me accessory mad, apart from replacement consumables the only two things I ever bought for my PCX were a clock and a topbox.

Re: Riding double...
Two items, therefore plural, so were is correct.

Re: Riding double...
It is. In Yorkshire they say "I were at pub". Just teasing gn2. He can stand it I'm sure and give it back in spadesgokidd wrote:Maybe it's a regional dialect issue ... were you at?
Re: Riding double...
The plural is "things".
The two things were a topbox and a clock.
What I want to know is why there's a tattoo parlour in a pub on the Yorkshire moors.
You know, Ilkley moor Bar Tatt.

Re: Riding double...
I used to be a long haired surfer dude. Not good for helmet head. But since buzzing my hair short, helmet head is not an issue anymore. Plus I save a ton of $$ on shampoo & conditioner. Heh heh hehgn2 wrote:The dreaded helmet hair.

Re: Riding double...
I was an ageing hippy and had started to look a bit ridiculous with my brown hair half way down my back and a grey beard.
I'm a really handsome sharp looking fucker now though
