Ordered a new black PCX150
Hi everyone my first post on this forum. I ordered it last Thursday September 5th should get it this Wed-Friday.
I also ordered the tall Givi Windscreen only to find out a couple days ago that Honda doesn't want to put them any more, something about having some kind of problem, and that's okay I'll try to locate another Windscreen.
A little on me, I'm 71 years old and live in Two Rivers Wisconsin, which is 3 hours North of Chicago on Lake Michigan, or rather I'm a couple blocks from the lake, I just happen to have an abandoned factory in between me and the lake.
I bought a new Ruckus in 2007, and put 3400 miles on it in the last 6 years, and really enjoyed it.
We have a road going alone Lake Michigan that I like to ride on and they do 45 to 50, and I always wanted a scooter that would keep up, so that's why the PCX150.
I have a home grown web site that has some pictures of me and the Ruckus and the backrest-carrier I made for it. In case anybody wants to see what this old retired guy does in his spare time I will give you a link to my website here. Click on this link http://www.1969supersport.com/
Sure looks like you people have a really nice forum here and hopefully I can contribute to it.

A Givi windscreen, if it's made for the PCX, is excellent. You can switch it with the stock screen in about 10 minutes with no problem. Look for the tutorial on this forum that has step by step instructions. Easy peasy!

What a great little Ruckus you got there! Love the utilitarian-ness of it, and the horns are an awesome touch!

Welcome!
My wife took the Motorcycle Safety Foundation course on a Ruckus, Rob.
I think she would have enjoyed having a fine backrest like yours!
Is that cargo area known as a Milks crate?

It does look awesome. Very minimalist and hardly any plastic to scratch. It must be a breeze to self service.
I would miss the lock-up and hidden (out of sight - out of mind) storage though.

Re: Ordered a new black PCX150
Picked up my new black pcx150 yesterday, and I'm really impressed with the power, after driving the ruckus for the last six years. Don't get me wrong the ruckus is a really nice scooter and I liked it a lot, but the bigger motor on the 150 is a whole different deal.
Getting a new scooter makes this old 71 year old guy feel like a teenager again.

I have a 16' garage door with a broken spring and a doctors appointment and a son that wants to bead blast some motorcycle parts, but I'll try and get some pictures of the 150, I guess I all readyDarth Emma wrote:He must still be out riding.

said that I like it.
I really had no idea these 150's are as nice they are, I had read where a lot of people really like them, but I flat out love this ride. I guess in my 71 years it would be hard to label something as perfect, but this little scooter is a piece of work, like a Picasso.
Honda has made a lot of cars and bikes etc. over the years, but it seems they are getting better, but how can you improve on something like this.
The other thing that I would like to mention is our local dealer, having him in your back pocket is a good thing when your tooling around on one of these little guys, they are a good bunch and they have a top notch service department that they are proud of, and as well they should be. Yup I'm good to go here.
