Hi Folks,
I bought a slightly used a PCX150 a few weeks ago. When it decelerates it seams to almost stop on it's own. It is like the clutch does not disengage. Driving it is a pain. My wife just bought one for herself today and hers does not have the problem. It is still under warranty Any suggestions?
Clutch issues?

Re: Clutch issues?
That's how its meant to work.
The clutch is centrifugal and only ever disengages when you slow to about 9mph
You control the speed with the throttle, don't just slam it shut, reduce it as required.

Four decades on two wheels has taught me nothing, all advice given is guaranteed to be wrong

But mine does not disengage until it is almost stopped. My wife's is so much smoother to drive. Can mine be adjusted to operate like hers?

Re: Clutch issues?
Any chance that hers has a modified clutch? Many tuner kids put in modified high rpm clutch sets so the bike launches at a higher rpm.

Re: Clutch issues?
No, the first owner was an old guy that sold it after 500 miles. Mine had 875 on it when I bought it.
I see you are from Scotland. We were just there in May. It rained, go figure.
But we did have a good time looking up family related sites.

I'll second that. If it is under warranty, the dealer is the best place to go.~Cheap_Ride~ wrote:Have a dealer check it out if its under warranty still.

Re: Clutch issues?
Definitely take it in if it's under warranty. The clutch disengages at 7mph, if my memory serves me correctly (though it's just as probable that I'm wrong and GN2 is right at 9mph).
