New Lights for Honda PCX
Hi,
I'm new and found many accessories for the pcx using this forum. I found these new lights on Ebay. The lights are gas filled halogen, but a lot brighter than the OEM lights that come on the PCX. I bought a pair and love them. It took a few weeks to get them, but worth it. Take a look and leave a response. Thanks
Here is the link for ebay USA

Re: New Lights for Honda PCX
Can you take a picture of the lights on with your new bulbs installed? This would be a great way to compare to the stock bulbs, to see if it's worth the upgrade.
Were they easy to install?

30/ 35 Watts times two bulbs. I'm going to go with HID from DDM Tuning. I have them on my CBR250R and they offer a near perfect beam pattern on low beam and are much brighter and whiter at 4,500k and 35 Watts of 300% brighter HID power.

Re: New Lights for Honda PCX
It is a 12 volt system, so 12 volts I would say. The watts is 30/35 watts on the lights. There is a link on the ebay site where you can view the lights. Same as the car halogen, they got the standard and then they got the brighter halogen that are gas filled, same as these lights I got. For me, I don't want to upgrade and deal with the headache to it.

12v system with 35 watts = 2.9 amp draw
The light is a 30/35 watt. It has the low and high beam built in as one light..

HS5 isn't listed. Are you modding a new connector/mount?sendler2112 wrote:30/ 35 Watts times two bulbs. I'm going to go with HID from DDM Tuning. Re: New Lights for Honda PCX
I have an HID in my CBR250R. I haven't done anything to the lights in the PCX yet. Other than aim them down to make the high beam into an (almost) always on high beam.

HS5 HID Kits are now available at this site for a good price. These will fit without any major modifications. HIDs are much nicer all the way around. Significantly brighter, make you way more visible to other vehicles, and look much nicer.

DDM doesn't have an HS5 bulb replacement.

"We do not carry a HS5 bulb type. I went ahead and attempted to cross reference the bulb type just incase we had something that could still work for your application and had no luck. Unfortunately i have nothing that comes close to the size of the base on this bulb".

I put two of these in, total cost 400 Baht. The difference is stunning. Power rating is 35/35W, I think my battery can live with this, and I am happy on my night rides on Phuket's hilly roads with almost no lighting.

So what happens with the main beam? The HID bulbs are single filament aren't they.

Re: New Lights for Honda PCX
Those are not HIDs. They are just blue colored bulbs. My HID in my CBR250R has a magnetic solenoid which pulls the arc back and forth for the high beam. Other HID conversions have a normal filliment in addition to the HID for highbeam. The best automotive HID systems have a movable shutter.

Looking at the pictures and connection diagram, the HID globe has 2 burners.
Has anyone here tried the kit?

The ones I'm selling are a slight blue and are a lot better than the OEM bulbs that come standard on the PCX
