Why did it have to be the right hand?
A friendly football game turns into riding disaster as an overaggressive lineman takes his tackle too far. No more red meat for that man..
The result? A fractured right hand= No Riding three weeks if lucky. ARRRRG!!!!!
Anyone else suffer any injuries of doing something innocent that prevented you from riding?

OUCH! Was it a break or fracture? Looks like a surgical procedure.

Have you thought about getting a cruise assist so you can use the throttle with the heel of your hand? I know it doesn't help with the front brake though.

That whole pickup-driver-who-left-turned-in-front-of-me-then-stopped thing prevented me from riding for a while. 20 years ago, but I still watch out for 'em.

most of us are 40--60+ on this site so we're ALWAYS hurting ourselves one way or another. to what extent and how long we're out of commission is another story. I went from my buddy 150 scooter to a 250 Kymco. bad decision, especially when I put it down twice. ouch! my ankle and elbow. said to myself, AMF, traded the Kymco in for my PCX. lost big $$, moved on, best money losing decision I made ever!

I fractured my foot during the MSF course. Didn't pass the course and I had a boot on for 6 weeks. I've just started riding a couple of weeks ago. Although I cheated and rode it a week earlier then the doctor said I could. Have patience.

Re: Why did it have to be the right hand?
Let's see now....my wife broke her ankle when our dogs tangled themselves around her while on lead and she fell . I stepped in a rabbit hole in our front yard and twisted my ankle. My wife broke her right wrist, once again being tangled up with our dogs. I ran over my foot while on the scooter, trying to get out of the way of an SUV driver determined to run over me because I was in the lane he wanted. Yep. Another twisted ankle. So, yes, we've had our share of bang ups, but we take them in stride and keep going. The dogs?? They are OK. They are Jack Russell Terriers. We have 3 of those little tornadoes.

Never broken anything but have had a twisted bollock. That can bring a tear to a glass eye.
