how much play should i have on the rear play
im thinking when i replaced the levers on mine i may have tightened it too far so im getting noise when pushing it and it seems like i lost some acceleration on the top. i used to be able to easily hit 65 (top 67 none verified) but i seem to struggle at 60 to maintain now. im looking at 1800 miles but the temp has dropped dramatically from 60s to the 30s when i ride.
now this noise was noticed last night but seemed like it was gone this morning.

Re: brake adjustment
That's definitely the brakes. You need to tighten the rear brake drum's cable. There's a little knob attached to an arm at the back brake. Put the bike on the centerstand and tighten it until it affects how easily the rear wheel spins. If that's unclear, I can take a few pictures for you tonight.
