What is the range on the PCX?
The search brough no results.
How many miles will the PCX go on a tank or before it really needs to be filled up?
I saw a video of valves check, geez, a lot of panels have to be removed.
Do people go through these troubles on their own every time they check the valves?
Also, please report your real world average MPG (note whether it's 125 or 150).
Thanks.

Re: What is the range on the PCX?
I ran the tank dry once to find that it holds 1.65 galons US, 3.79 Liter to the brim. Average fuel consumption is about 94 mpgUS. See the thread here:

Re: What is the range on the PCX?
Mine used to return anything from 85 to 110 miles per imperial gallon.
On my regular commute useable tank range was about 110 miles by which time it was in the reserve with the last segment of the fuel gauge flashing.

I have a 2011 125 & I will ride until the last fuel bar starts flashing, anywhere from 115-130 miles on average. My mpg stays around 110.

Re: What is the range on the PCX?
I have a 2013 pcx 125 and get 110mpg ( UK gallons) per tank fill. I fill to as close to the bar in the tank as I can get. If I fill up as soon as the last fuel guage segment starts starts flashing it takes 4.7L to fill up to the bar again. I'd say 110 miles per tank with a 20 mile reserve (one litre) once the fuel guage is flashing should see you ok.
When I was running in and keeping the speed below 40 mph, with never more than half throttle, I was getting 130 mpg.

I get 120-130 miles to a full tank, all urban. But I'm only 65kg and almost never carry luggage.

Re: What is the range on the PCX?
Interesting. Must be my stop and go traffic, but I only get about 60 Miles per tank or so. 2013 PCX150 with 300 miles. I do mash on the gas every few lights but that's a big loss in distance between mine and all yours. That's doing 45-50 on side streets. You guys drive 20 mph? ha
Re: What is the range on the PCX?
That is curious Samurai - you shouldn't be THAT low, even if you're still bedding in the engine. I drive start-stop too, and the throttle is either fully open or closed the whole time. As I said I'm a skinny guy and you've got a slightly bigger engine, but you're getting half what I'm getting, seems not quite right.

Re: What is the range on the PCX?
I guess the only stupid question is the one you don't ask, so here it goes....
By any chance is your guys' MPG different overseas versus the states.(miles are miles, but never know) Is there any reason why ours would be that different. I have a 49cc ruckus with a 1 gal tank that gets less than or close to 100 miles per fill. So your 125cc's and 153cc PCX's get better than my ruckus?
From what I am gathering online, the UK MPG is 1.2 versus US' 1.0 mpg.

Re: What is the range on the PCX?
I'm getting about a 100 miles' range on my 150 in the states. No windscreen (yet), and I'm usually traveling between 45 and 55 mph. But I only just passed 1,500 miles on the scooter, and many people say you're not broken in until at least 2,000, at the next service. Honestly, I can't argue with any variation in my range or mpg, as my other vehicle is a 2004 SUV where 20mpg is a blessing!

Re: What is the range on the PCX?
Silentsamari you should take your 150 in. That's less than 40 mpg per tank. Something is seriously wrong there. In stock form the worst I ever got was 73mpg at wot running 65-68 mph for a 56 mile round trip ride. You should in no way possible be getting that little mileage. Take it to the dealer!!!

Re: What is the range on the PCX?
Thanks to everyone who responded. I am getting around 90 mpg on my Elite 110 and the range is roughly a 100 miles before the gauge dips into empty. But I am suspecting it can go another 40-50 miles before it quits. I've never tried.
It has a 1.6 gallons tank also. Just the gauge is a bit weird. After 10 miles it's in empty range. Thought I remember having driven 120 miles with a passenger and 50 lbs of gear and it didn't run out of gas still. The gauge was half an inch below empty.
Looks like the PCX's range is on par or maybe just a bit better. Anyone has any experience with Elite (Lead) 110?

Re: What is the range on the PCX?
Right. Thanks. The last bar will flash for at least .4 gallonsUS, 1.5 liters. I am just making two round trip commutes at 50 mph for 150 miles on a tank with 10 miles in reserve.DAB wrote:1.65 gall (US) = 6.25 Lsendler2112 wrote:I ran the tank dry once to find that it holds 1.65 galons US, 3.79 Liter to the brim. Re: What is the range on the PCX?
Samurai it's not an mpg thing, as most people here are quoting what they get per tank, and our tank sizes are the same. 50cc scooters can sometimes have worse mpgs than 125s for urban riding as they are invariably ragged the whole time so their economy drops. Even though we both said we hammer the PCX, there will be plenty of times in a city you're just cruising at 20-30mph with the engine very comfortable, but for a 50cc moped that would be full pelt.

My tuned up speedfight gets around 50 mpg plus race 2 stroke oils at £20 per litre

Still slower ( just) than the pcx

Re: What is the range on the PCX?
One of these days, I will do an economy run. I am convinced that highway speeds do NOT produce the best economy.
Also, riding two up cuts mileage, when both of us are over 200#. (for you brits, we total at least 30 stone)
Also, giving it a bunch of gas now and then is part of the fun.
Still, I average 90 MPG, US, on a PCX150. I had a 125, I think it did slightly better.
I generally gas up at around 100 miles on a tank.
I have been tempted to carry a little bit of gas in a can, so I can run the bike completely out. Most I ever put in was 1.35 Gallons, and the last block in the gas gauge had been blinking a while.
Most distance between fillups has been 125 miles, How about YOU?
