At last,the items arrived today,havnt fitted them but taken everything out to check for damage.
all is good and worth the 3 week wait to get the front pipe with the cat fitted. Its a lot of money but when you see the quality of everything, i am well pleased,photos to follow when i fit it this weekend

Ive been looking at aftermarket systems, the Arrow system is pretty high on my list.

Im assuming it will void your warranty? thats the only thing that is stopping me. That and the initial cost

I can't see why an after market exhaust would invalidate the warranty. As for cost: if I payed myself minimum wage for the hours I will have to spend keeping the original item rust free plus all the paint and gaskets, then over couple of years I could you could have paid for the stainless one and saved myself a whole load of hassle. I'm getting one sometime in the next couple of months. But it is a big outlay for a bit of pipe

used to work for an insurer, its definately an easy excuse to not pay out if you need their assistance.

Usually you have to use manufacturer approved parts for a warranty to remain valid.

Fitting an aftermarket exhaust won't invalidate the warranty, just make sure to hold on to the stock one in case they ask for it back to troubleshoot a problem or similar.

that looks very nice. as much as i hate the stock exhaust Im going to wait until it starts rusting before I buy a replacement. As I live on the coast, it shouldnt be too long! lol

Hey trigg, whats your impression of its weight? Is there much difference? I was surprised by the weight of the stock item and wondered if the stainless might be a bit less lardy.

Remember that, the terms and conditions of warranties and consumer laws are different in the UK and that place wot you live in

Ed ,I have to say without weighing them i would say theres not a lot in it,but the finish is well worth it and for me I waited for the cat front pipe because im hopeing the cat and the db killer left in it wont be any more noisy than stock. the race sound wasnt for me and want it to run right.....still havnt got round to fitting it and with some busy weekends coming up it may be a few weeks before its on

Looks nice, I was considering a new exhaust but stainless steel ones seem a bit pricy for me

Go and ask your Honda dealer how much for a standard one.
That might change your view.
IMO there's no point changing until the standard one is totally knackered.

I take it the standard one is quite expensive too then, mines looks pretty buggered, getting blown over in the wind cracked the plastic part completely off so now all the rusty bits are on display

The plastic bit is narly £40.
Don't know how much an original pipe is for the PCX, the one for the Yamaha X-Max 250 is £962
That's right, you are not seeing things, nine hundred and sixty two pounds.
And that's just for the silencer.
If you want a front pipe it takes it over a grand and if you need an exhaust sensor that's another £233
I would be surprised if you saw change from £500 for an original PCX pipe.

finally fitted the exhaust. Have to say im very pleased. Its fits well and isnt noisy which is what i wanted. IF anyone wants an aftermarket sysytem i would def recommend this one with the cat in the front pipe,a lot of money but you get arrow quality

Looks good. I'm going to have to start saving. Meanwhile, I'm going to have to paint my exhaust yet again
