Re: Storage in house
Hell Yeah...Nice and toasty warm. Wish I had room inside my house to store my bikes for the winter.

Re: Storage in house
I am fortunate to have a walk-in door into my basement. I have both my bikes stored down there and covered with sheets. I put Stabil in the gas and they are on battery tenders too.

Re: Storage in house
I'm only 18. I have a campus apartment but decided to bring scooter home until it gets warmer. This is in my bedroom I use once a week. Mom won't let me put it there. Claims safety issue cause of gas. I told her the thing has no leaks. Was fine with dad until he asked mom. Then opinions changedCaptnJim wrote:I'm guessing you're not married.

Re: Storage in house
I'm assuming that they won't move it until you get back. Innocently ask "Do you actually smell any gas?" when next you arrive and hope for the best. Inside storage would be absolutely deluxe, even if the compromise sent your baby to the basement.
On my scoot, getting there is WAY more than half the fun!

Oh well... maybe at least get some kind of cover. The Walmart one is somewhat cheesy, but better than nothing I would think.

Re: Storage in house
I have one I bought from autozone. Had it for awhile. Just decided to take battery out and put scooter outside. Won't get ridden for atleast next two weeks. No going to winterized though. Will ride every two weeks or so and let it run more often

Re: Storage in house
We have a daylight basement and both of our bikes are comfortably stored there. It also gives me a place to work on them. Not doing major stuff, just clean them up and add accessories.
Currently own:

Givi tall windshield & tailbox - Lots of extra lights
Custom seat from Thailand - Bad Boy Airhorn

YEA Logepoge! Your Mom is just being a Mom. She undoubtedly wants to help you take care of your investment, but also doesn't want the house to be in danger. She may have a bit of a point, however. If ever there was a fire and the insurance company figured out there was gasoline stored inside, things could get messy.

Re: Storage in house
My PCX is stored right behind the front door in the vestibule.

I have learned from my mistakes, and I am sure I can repeat them exactly.
