YSS shock absorvers
Hi all. I've been playing with the idea of getting a bigger scooter, but as I have moved recently and the PCX is not seeing that much use (still ride her every second day or so) I've disregarded it. However, I'm starting to think that some aftermarket shock absorvers make sense and these YSS are the only thing I've heard of.
Worth it?. Feedback?.

Anyone know the best place to get any of the yss and get them shipped to the US. I'm seeing between $175-$200 so far.

not sure if i would say harder. the original shocks didnt work worth a shit for me. the YSS actually absorb shocks, dips and bumps well unlike the stock shocks. i would say $200 is a decent price in the US. dont get caught up comparing to the price people are buying them for in thailand where they are made and most everything is cheaper.

If I go over bumps fast enough that the stock shocks bottom out, will it damage anything?
How much less likely would the YSS shocks bottom out?

it depends on your weight. keep in mind that you need to buy the proper ones for your weight. if you are huge and heavy, the ones in the hatari pic would probably still bottom out. if you buy the right ones, they shoulndt bottom out except under extreme circumstances.
i am about 85-90kg with riding gear and carry another 5kg of gear often. they the YSS shocks in the hatari pic have never bottomed out on me, but it felt like the stock shocks did fairly often on the same streets. those stock shocks suck the big one!

I just install a pair of YSS Hybrid type (much cheaper than G Series with separate tube shown before) on my 150cc PCX, it cost around $80 here. I found that the YSS Hybrid have much better rebound and can absorb the road bump better than original shock from Honda especially when I have to ride PCX together with my wife. If you have to install it yourself you need to stripped almost all the half of PCX plastic panel and it takes quite sometimes to find the right settings based on your road condition and your weight since the manual provided is very minimal and no special tool for adjusting given inside the package. You can adjust manually though.

I thought about getting the YSS "hybrid" shocks, do you think they are any lighter(weight) than the stock shocks?

I do not understand your language but I followed you easily & I'm impressed by what I have learned (to the point of giving this upgrade a go) Looks easier than I had thought. I Tip My Hat To You!
The only thing I would consider doing, and it would be Prior to removing any plastics, would be to take a few close up photos of finicky plastic connection points (ex.: What piece lies on top of what or...under what, etc) so I could refer to them later when positioning them back in place (and also for future use).
