The New & Sexy.....KTM E-Speed
Top speed will be just over 50. When fully charged, the range should be just about 40 miles. The price?

Re: It's Electric!
All the electrics I have seen have hub motors. I wonder why this one is different.

Less unsprung mass will probably aid in the whole "without compromising on the design and sportiness of our KTM genes"-story...wingz wrote:All the electrics I have seen have hub motors. I wonder why this one is different.

Don't these cost around $5000? Their new electric dirt bike has a top speed of 45mph and a cost around $12,000. I think I'll pass on both.

Re: It's Electric!
2yous, I'm attaching another link. This bike has so much to say. I am really impressed and excited! Seat is a bit high, but ya can't ever have it all when it's stock. So "you" fixit one way or another
Really folks, take the time to cruise their website and watch All the impressive review video's.
I'm wondering...How come I never read about this bike(s) before? They have been around a few years now, and getting better all the time. Really, what's Not to Like? Oh yeah, the price

Re: It's Electric!
The SR looks great, but with a good enough power cell costs near $20,000! As with most electric vehicles, they are getting better with longer ranges but the cost is far too much above normal fuel-powered vehicles to justify them unless you are really rich.

Re: It's Electric!
The one negative I see about that bike is the shift is on the same side as the throttle. Didn't see it operate, so maybe it works good. Just seems a little awkward trying to shift with the throttle hand.gn2 wrote:This would be the one for me:

Oh, I misunderstood. Now I feel like those cruiser riders that do reviews on scooters....duh!!!
And I don't toot my own tooter at least not while accelerating!!!!!!

Re: It's Electric!
It looks awesome. I know a couple years ago the hubby was looking at an electric motorcycle although I'm not sure which one he was looking at. Cost won out and now he rides a big cruiser.

Re: It's Electric!
Great find on the ZEV. I like the performance of the 7100 LR even though you give up some under seat storage for the extra batteries. $9,000 is pretty fair as this model appears to use the bullet proof GBS LiFePO4 batteries which are $4,000 themselves.gn2 wrote:This would be the one for me:
