Bad mpg

Mpg has been declining. Have done nothing new and driving the same way. It's at 2200 miles

Put it down to the weather. When colder, it's more thirsty. Warm gasoline and engine make more energy and there's less friction.

looks like your mpg is in contrast to the $/Gallon.
Have you changed brands? Do you fill up the same (side stand/centerstand) each time and to the same amount up to the neck?
Also, the chart shows the farther you go between fillups, more mpg....same routes/roads?
As khaosaming stated, the temp makes a difference also.
I would add altitude, but I don't think that would be a factor in your area.
Also, you might check the tire pressure since it is colder. You could be running a bit lower and not enough to notice it just eyeballing it.
Have you made any performance mods? Anything done at the 600mile checkup that may have changed it?
Bigger windshield or other addons that could add to wind drag?

I changed just oil at 600 miles

Between Nov 5 & 15? Windscreen stopping the wind and larger surface area.
A small drop in mpg, but maybe you started driving a bit faster now that you are having less wind hit you?

My worst tank with my modified pcx150 was 68mpg running wot at 50-60mph in a 25-35 mph headwind. I just couldn't accelerate with that kind of head wind. I was going 32 miles one too. It wasn't fun.

I know for me my biondi windscreen vs my givi 322 short screen is an 8-10mpg difference drop in fuel economy depending on how much I'm riding over 55 mph.

Now, I am 6ft tall, 215lbs, and I have very broad shoulders. I also have the tall Givi screen and the largest Givi trunk.

WOT on the highway at 60 to 65mph, the last fuel marker on the gauge starts blinking at 70 miles traveled. I consistently receive high 50's to low 60's on the highway.

Total miles on bike as of 17 Feb 2014 - 4800.

Correct oil level.
Oil always changed as manual recommends with Honda HP4M.
Valves always adjusted as manual recommends.
Correct tire PSI.
New belt and rollers installed at 2500 miles.
Short of tearing the motor down, I do not know what else to do.
About to install a tach, to help me narrow things down to either the CVT or the engine.

I have a wide band o2 sensor and I was going to do some data logging, when I have the time.

I understand 100% that given the tall screen, large trunk, and my large stature, expecting over 100mpg is not realistic. However, high 50's is a little low. At least I think that it is.

Any input would be appreciated!

You are just getting used to the bike and riding it like you should. Mpgs will fall to their natural level. It's still an economical bike

In all seriousness. Install an aftermarket variator and you will get an increase in MPG. Wih a NCY vaiator I saw a 10 mpg increase in economy.

Given how you ride it your average mpg is what one would expect.

I'm also having the same issue, but I know I have problem with my tyres, they keep running out of air.

@ logepoge1 is this US or UK MPG?

Us mileage. I checked tire pressure yesterday. They were about 10 psi short on both tires. I can definately feel difference when riding. Also did an oil change. Was gonna do valve check but didn't have gasket sealant. This is the 2500 mile service by the way. Never done valve check yet so

You can typically get away with not using the gasket sealant. The existing gasket seals fine.

im getting about 80-90 a tank of gas but then again i'm wot all over the place. This is your issue, it's the only logical thing i can think of.

I hear this term a lot: wot. Please explain. And yes around here there isn't stop and go city traffic. It's nice actually. Taking rides and seeing no cars
