Got fed up not knowing the time and wanted something discreet to solve this.I didnt fancy an analogue one and all the shop bought ones didnt seem suitable but found a solution.Good old ebay got me http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/260842427276? ... 1423.l2649.
Took a bit of working out where and how to mount it but found a nifty subtle way that works.I drilled through the black plastic cover under the windscreen to run the cables.I wrapped insulation tape around the clock itself to increases its weather resistance and put a small perspex tinted screen over the front. Its held in place by some black silicone around the back which also holds the switch that sets it in place and seals the hole the cables pass through. The windscreen, once clipped back on and bolted up, holds it in place completely tight.
I forgot to take some pics with it off so you can see it is hardly noticeable and just looks like a black box (thats if you even notice its there)
I love this mod as its so useful on a daily basis riding to work, looks smart too.Be warned if doing this mod yourselves the thing is bright and you need the tinted perspex or similar to damp the brightness down a bit or it will annoy you.
To change the time i just reach around the back of it to use the red push button thats out of sight. And yes it does keep its time as one feed to is to a permanent live.
this is exactly the sort of thing i want for my bike, is this wired into the bike or did it come with a battery, i haven't checked your link as i am still at work
same here, but i was told it was guaranteed for 3 years, not life?
Your quite right.
Our Warranty is sort of crazy but really Simple!
You lose it,
You break it,
Some Jack Ass steals it,
It falls off,
It quits working,

Any reason, any time you ain't happy,
Let us know and we'll "make it right."
I've been doing this for a long time now, no kidding, I will do whatever it takes to keep you happy for three full years! -Ross
Yeah I agree a LCD clock should be stock on these PCX's especially given how cheap they are to manufacture, would love one on mine like maddiedog's post!!!
This is an inexpensive fix to the situation I did. It cost about $4 on a trip back to the US and I have seen the identical one for even less here in Thailand. It sits in a holder the I stuck to the speedo glass. I put it in my sunglasses holder when it is raining or when I am parked in an area that I am not familiar with so the it doesn't get stolen. It runs on a 2032 coin sized inexpensive battery which lasts months.
