Re: Average fuel consumption
I'm getting about 85 mpg. I am a bit heavy on the throttle trying to keep up with my husbands 1700cc motorcycle.
Re: Average fuel consumption
I'm about 85 mpg also. Everything is stock. 1800 miles on the odo. 210 lbs (about 95 kg?), 6'0", most miles are around town, maybe about 10% are two-up with the lady. I try to be light on the throttle but I also try to keep up with traffic.

Re: Average fuel consumption
I'm pretty much full throttle everywhere. And when I get on the freeway, also full throttle. Get close to 80mpg, 150lb rider 5'10" tall.
One of these days I'd like to experiment by taking it easier and seeing how it goes.

Re: Average fuel consumption
Mine is stock as well, although I have added some non performance parts. Driving around town, I'm only getting 85 mpg. I'm 5'5" and 300lbs so I also believe that plays into my mpgs. Today hubby and I drove 170 miles round trip to Lake Geneva in Wisconsin. A good part of the way was at 55mph. I did average 91.92 mpg

Re: Average fuel consumption
Tell him to fill to the brim as much as possible and watch what he does. And then start using Fuelly the correct way by inputting the distance and fuel volume as read off of the pump. Over fills and under fills will average out every 3-5 fills.ChesneyHawkes wrote:As I stated, I am not the one filling the bike, it's the attendant.
