GOT MY NEW 2015 PCX150

Re: GOT MY NEW 2015 PCX150
I used to keep a loft and fly roller pigeons in the Chicago land area... Honda's price for the PCX does seem like chicken feed. Hope to add you to the growing list of new PCX owners. Why don't you keep the Ruckus and sell the Fartsa, garage is only so big. I gave my 16ft Seadoo to my father-in-law because that was a boat too.Darth Emma wrote:I already have 2 other scooters (a Ruckus and a Forza)
I was really thinking that if I got the PCX, then maybe I could get my husband to consider riding with me.
It might be "chicken feed," but it's a lot of money to spend if it just sits. I may decide to get one in the spring though. Maybe the 2013s will be gone and they'll be a bit more willing to deal on the 2015s.

I like my Forza and I have enough room in my garage for them. The Forza will go considerably faster than the PCX, so I like to use it when I need or want a bit more speed like riding on expressways. The Forza also is big enough that I feel like I am improving my riding skills at low speed maneuvers.
I think the PCX would just be really fun to ride down the country roads or into town. I don't really need it. I just like it. I'll be patient and probably wait til spring to buy one. (And, btw, I don't consider $4200 chicken feed.)

Re: GOT MY NEW 2015 PCX150
$ 4,200 is more like elephant feed......and lots of it.
My first new motor bike cost $ 215 when I bought
it in 1957....a 1957 Simplex 125 automatic. Ironically, it had
a CVT type transmission and belt drive which worked
essentially the same way as my new 2015 Honda
PCX150's trans. Motor technology has evolved considerably
since 1957, though. The Simplex 125 had 4 hp and a
top speed of ~ 45 mph, whereas the PCX150's 153cc
engine produces ~ 13 hp and 65-70 mph.
Over the years, I had some really fast sport bikes.
Now....at age 71.....It's back to the future !!!
Well restored Simplex Automatics sell for at least $5,000
these days. Wish I still had mine.
Here's some info re the Simplex (note: early models did not
have the automatic trans) :

Re: GOT MY NEW 2015 PCX150
Welcome to the club or should I say addiction. Simply put, this bike is more addictive than Candy Crush! I own an beautiful BMW Z3 Roadster. It's to the point now I have to find reasons and make excuses to drive it. I've had my '15 PCX 150 for a little over a month. The Japanese stand around and gawk over it. (I'm in Okinawa).
Nice color with the black. I chose Matte Gunmetal gray, because its rare and you can only get it here in Japan to my knowledge.
Take care and keep it on 2 wheels.
Straight off the delivery truck. Enjoy the Matte Grey

Really NICE color!!! I think that you are correct, and you can only get that color in Japan, as the matte gray that we have in Spain is like that:

If my eyes and computer monitor are correctly calibrated
your gray is more like... gunmetal... I really like it!!
