If it was designed better the guy wouldn't have cracked the filter cover refitting it and/or a cracked filter cover wouldn't cause water to leak into the footwell.

It was made in June 98. I think any car of that age would have some wear and tear. Plastic had probably gone brittle or something. Plus if water leaks in through a crack in a car it has to go somewhere. I'd rather it went there to where I saw it straight away so could fix the problem rather than fuck up the electrics or something. What you got against VW's anyway gn2? I've always seen them as well built, well designed reliable cars. First car was a polo of the same age and I never had any problems with it until it got smashed into. And then again into a lamppost.

Just don't like them, never have.
Probably got something to do with the company being created by the Nazis.
Don't like Porsches for the same reason and I'm not too fond of Nasa either.

There is that. They did massacre the Jews, killing millions but dammit they can make a good car.

Re: Bl@@dy weather
Well thing is they don't even make good cars, they make average ones, lie about them and charge over inflated prices for them.

The Japanese where also a lovely peaceful nation in the 1940s. I know some old people that won't buy Japanese still now.

Maddie - in your pic of the ride you said you were in the silver helmet looking back riding your Buddy 125 - thought you bought it to do up for your wife?

Re: Bl@@dy weather
My wife went out in my car yesterday morning without asking if she could take it.
So I had to take the scooter to work.
Unfortunately it was persisting down and I got soaked both going in and on the way home.
As if that wasn't bad enough when I got home she announced she had a really bad migraine while driving and had been sick three times inside the car.
She cleaned it up but there's still a bit of a spewy waft.
I'm probably going to have to pay for getting it professionally valeted
Women, why do we put up with them.
Grrrrr.

I just use a soft micro fleecs cloth once I get it in the garage. Only dry the bodywork and screen.

Re: Bl@@dy weather
I do nothing to mine, it sits outside uncovered in all weathers.uploader wrote:How do you members dry your pcx, do you just dry the metal work or all the bike and what do you use?
I gave up on covering it because it was too much of a p.i.t.a.
Only gets washed every three or four months.

Re: Bl@@dy weather
I just use a towel, I have a stack of old, cruddy towels in a closet near the door. I park the bike under my carport, go out, pat it dry, and leave it. I don't dry the exhaust, I'd get burned, but I do dry the controls, seat, and fairings.uploader wrote:its done nothing but rain here in south yorkshire
