Flooded it! Had me worried for a bit

Went to start the PCX for the ride home, did not have the rear brake lever in enough and the scoot started but stopped. Tried a 2nd time and no better - guess I still did not have the lever in enough which is unusual as I've ownedit 4 months now and it's started 1st time, every time.

Waited 5 mins, no better with lever properly depressed, so went back into work and read a copy of the manual which mentioned how to fix a flooded pcx. Waited twenty minutes but it still took three goes using the fix suggested by Honda to fix the problem but eventually the scoot started and was fine after that. Had my worried for a bit - thought I'd have to give up and take the tube home - oh the horror of that (saving that pleasure for the really bad icy weather).

if you had to "take the tube home" where would you have left your precious?

In the underground car park at work - it would be safe there for weeks/months! It's a 24/7 365 security gated and patrolled site. I've never steering locked, brake disc locked (I have the Xena alarm unit, never used it) or chained at work, just on the center stand. Some people have left their 600cc bikes covered up for 4 months!

I was worried the battery would be suffering after all those attempts, but it is the up-rated one made to work with lots of idle-stoppedness (which I've used once)
