New PCX brought home today.

Post by kcpcx »

It's home.

Had to work a bit to track down a remaining red one. Red was sentimental in that my first cycle was a Honda Aero 80 the same color 30 years ago.

Only complaint so far is the hump. A humpectomy or replacement seat is a must.

You will find that the seat is a pain in the butt...:-) We replaced our seats (we have two red PCX 150s) with ones from powerbypcx.com. If you use a Chrome browser you can get the site translated. It is fairly easy to order from them, though they are out of Thailand. You might consider changing your windshield also. Riding while it is windy or cool is not as much fun with the original windshield. We have the tall Givi on both of ours and enjoy riding almost year around.
Currently own:
Red 2013 Honda PCX150

Givi tall windshield & tailbox - Lots of extra lights
Custom seat from Thailand - Bad Boy Airhorn
Takegawa Lowering Shocks - Michelin City Grip Tires
Headlight assy upgraded to LEDs w/HS5 main bulbs
NCY variator, drive face, and rollers

Thanks.

Yes, I have been reading and absorbing all kinds of good info from you guys on the forum here.

I'm torn on whether to humpectomy my seat or order a new one from poweredbypcx. I'll probably order new and keep the old one so that if I sell the scoot someday I can return it to stock.

I may try to track down the tall Givi as well. Hard to decide on shields. Sometimes it's my experience that no shield is better than one that creates buffeting around your head. From what I've read on here, the tall Givi has pretty consistent positive feedback. I've seen mixed reviews of the short Givi or Honda part.

Congrates on your awesome new RED! Enjoy the fall ride an welcome back to the compound. I don't think a single person in the states and many overseas would give you more money for the original seat in a resale situation LOL, probably pay you a premium to get one with the mod... It's hated that much.

That would be my vote. I swapped mine out and have never regretted it.
