I dont get it.....i use a pair of Columbia dual layered ski pants over my trousers and this keeps me toasry in the coldest of weather. Why ruin look of the PCX with a leg cover?

Not fussed by the looks and every third scooter over here has one anyway - standard piece of kit here. Did the thermal layer, jeans, ski overalls when I first got my PCX on some just above freezing mornings and whilst staying warm, by the time I got to work I was definitely feeling it. Thermoscud makes a huge difference for me. No more thermals and just textile riding trousers over my jeans and much toastier. Bollocks are much warmer.

Now if the PCX had a heater vent to pump warm air under it like some other scooters do - heaven.

I took the quilted layer out of my trousers this morning and wished I hadn't . It's still a bit draughty out in the morning.

Latest addition (oh, and my wonky white rim tape but no pic of that). Finally got round to taking a couple of pics of the Koso tacho I installed a while ago (thanks to pcxdeamons help).

Reading the great thread from the other side by pcxdeamon on his mods, now looking at upgrading the clutch torque spring by 10% and getting some lighter rollers or sliders. Plan on keeping the stock variator.

I mostly commute in the countryside so very little city stop/go. But I have several hills (including the odd set of switchbacks depending on how I go to work) and want to increase the pull out of corners and overall acceleration. Tends to bog down when slowing to 40-50 going around sharp uphill corners so feel the need for more drive. Top speed is not that important as all the roads I go on have a max 80km/h limit. The magic number of 8000rpm has been throw around but recon even a boost from the standard 6250ish rpm takeup to above 7500rpm should be enough. From keeping an eye on the tacho, it feels like there is good power being made around there. Just have to try and keep the ratio of roller weight/clutch torque in a sweet spot.

Good impression on the acceleration and a slight speed increase (from google translate of Conclusion: Dr. Pulleys square vario rolls bring in almost perfectly matching PCX a clear plus in top speed.). Thinking originally on 12g but already been recommend 10g. 11g sliders may be what I go with if I can get them.

Other option is to play with rollers first as cheaper and I don't really need the top speed increase (but would still like it ), then go sliders later if I feel like it. Dunno yet.

Honda have done a great job on this one, but I want just a few tweaks to suit me.
Is just about perfect for what I want (no, I don't want a bigger bike). When I get some bits I will let you know.

If you do get a boost out of the 13g sliders, let me know, I've been considering them for the same reason. I read the same as you read (but on a Thai site) that people were getting some speed gains from DR Pulleys. I'm under the assumption that the limiter is electronic, but with how chaotic the JCosta thread was on the other forum, I wouldn't be surprised at all if we were proven wrong.

Excuse my ignorance, but why would you want a rev counter on a non geared scooter?

Only reasons I can think of would be to assess drivetrain modifications and give an early indication of drivebelt wear.

Ride in yesterday morning with the first single digit temperature for a long time (8°C). Resulted in a super clear sky so great views of the alps on the way in to work.
