Battery Change

Post by lee156 »

Hi, new to forum :)

My battery died so bought a new one. I noticed when removing old battery the fit is tight however I cannot get my new battery in. It goes as far back as I can get it but the negative terminal does not line up as cable is short.

Am I doing something wrong maybe?

The battery size is 114 x 71 x 106

Thanks

From this I gather it was not one known to be compatible with a PCX but a general 12v motorbike one?

If you still have the old battery, place the new battery beside it with the correct poles beside each other. Do they look to be the same size? If they look like they are the same size, pull on each of the main connection wires to make sure they aren't caught on something like the battery compartment itself. I have had that happen before. When i pulled the old battery out the cables slid down through the holes and i had to manhandle them back up through the holes and tie them out of the way with string and duct tape till i got the battery in. Also make sure nothing else fell into the battery box.
