GPS or SatNav is a useful tool if used correctly. Much safer to have it tell you where to turn than to be distracted looking at maps or written directions or hard to read street signs. That said, I've seen it used by a male member of my family in ways that are very dangerous. The worst is when he starts scrolling through looking for restaurants or gas stations or whatever while driving (poorly). Regardless of using GPS or not it is good to look at an unfamiliar route ahead of time. I love Google Maps.

I am manly enough to ride but also have used a satnav on the scooter so I guess my manliness is wiped out by the satnav :-)

Could it be that you is now a big puff and a batty boy...?

Only if the +/- numerical value on the manliness scale is the same for both.TC3 wrote:I am manly enough to ride but also have used a satnav on the scooter so I guess my manliness is wiped out by the satnav :-)
But they're not.
Sad news: you're in man deficit, but not quite a full blown batty boy.

Satnavs are fine if you if you are in a unfamiliar area but what I find funny it the people that use them to get home from work. The same journey they do every day. They either have Alzheimer's or couldn't fine their arseholes with a funnel.

Re: My PCX
actually sat navs are also good for reminding you of speed cameras. But thats only for those of us that ride fast.
