Afternoon.
Has anyone else got an issue with the wrong vehicle coming up when looking for insurance quotes?
I'm looking into the matter and can see the potential issue but this leaves me really concerned about riding the bike.
My Bike is a 2012 125 - with the "Actual" model of WW125 ex2-c (as per v5) - However as no insurers know what a WW125 EX2-C is they go for the closest alphabetically a "VT125 Shadow" although these were discontinued in 2008.
I've contacted Honda to discuss my issues as the problem for me is this - should the police run a numberplate search on my bike it will return the model as "WW125 EX2-C" if i manually add the insurance details as PCX125 (as per the badges on my bike) then will I be told I don't have the correct insurance.
Similarly - should my bike be written off and the Insurer look into it - will they refuse to pay as I am insuring a PCX125 instead of a WW125-EX2-C.
I am in communication with a well known insurer to ensure my insurance isn't going to be void - however I am challenging Honda on Why they don't register these bikes as PCX's OR let the insurers know of the WW125-EX2-c Brand
Anyone had similar issues?

Its not at all uncommon for the wrong model to come up when you enter the reg. no. in the insurance search box.
This can usually be sorted by entering the details manually.
The insurers are sometimes slow to pick up on new models, the original PCX wasn't on the insurers model lists for months after it first went on sale.
