Re: Raspberry Pi
Funnily enough I registered my interest for an RPi this morning.
But I won't be using a fag packet for a case

Re: Raspberry Pi
I hesitated to call it a fag packet given that this is an America based forum - I'm not sure I want to know what an American fag packet is.

Re: Raspberry Pi
Cigarette box? I dunno, we don't have a name for it.
Someone less culturally diverse might get offended though, over here people refer to homosexuals as "fags" in a derogatory sense... The word fag isn't used for cigarette...
Regardless, fag packet is fine.

Re: Raspberry Pi
I got my Pi at the weekend. It took nearly 3 months from when I ordered it. The software is a bit buggy but worth it if your into fiddling with things like that.
Re: Raspberry Pi
Just been able to order mine, 5 week delivery apparently :/
I'm hoping to have some fun when I finally get it but I could do with two for what i need. One to act as a file server for my USB hard drive box, 4x Swappable Sata bays currently filled with 4x 500GB hard drives but the only connection the box has is USB :/
And a second one to play it all back on my TV.
Apparently you can run it from 4x AA batteries too.

Raspberry Pi
I take it you ordered from RS. I registered interest with RS and element 14. The latter came through first. I did get a registration code at the weekend from RS but it's unused. I have seen people selling the code on eBay for £20 which is a bit mercenary if you ask me.Teamtd11 wrote:Just been able to order mine, 5 week delivery apparently :/

Yep got mine from RS and £20 for a code to allow you to buy a computer for £25 :/Alibally wrote:I take it you ordered from RS. I registered interest with RS and element 14. If I had a code that was not used, I would just give it away. More so on a device like the Pi which strength and success will be down to the community that grows around it.
