Funky bright vest... Every time my wife and I ride...

Every time my wife and I ride or I ride alone I or we always wear a funky bright vest like the road workers wear. I'll be the first to admit it is very funky but it sure is bright and the other motorists sure do see you. I've had a few start to pull away from a stop sign but then see me and stop. We haven't had a really close call since we started wearing the vest. We wouldn't ride without them. In Michigan they changed the law so motorcycle riders no longer have to wear helmets but I wouldn't ride without that either. Ride safe my friends.

I bought my $5 safety vest and wear it while riding. It does seem to make a difference.... especially when people are pulling out of driveways or shopping centers.

We started out with the inexpensive ones from Walmart. They lasted a little over a year, so we bought some motorcycle specific ones that come with pockets and adjustable sides. We wear them whenever we ride. They do help make us visable.

Those look like rain suits. Are they?

Rain jackets. I have the Rev' It Cyclone H20. John is wearing the Frogg Toggs. We are using them as wind breakers. We are wearing our armored riding jackets underneath. It was 50 degrees F. out on this ride.

I always wear the neon orange or bright green. Dont care what it looks like, i just want to be seen!

I am going to buy a white mesh jacket for riding in hot weather. But wearing a safety vest over the mesh will defeat the purpose of the mesh.... no air flow. I probably should just pay the money and buy the same jacket that Steph has. Do you think that people will see the "white" of the jacket or does that blend into the street like everything else. The neon vest really makes me stand out.

Get my jacket. It's is mesh and flows a lot of air. Wore it all summer. A hi-viz helmet would be great too. Be seen!
