Brake LED replacing the rear reflector
Just thought I'd share this with you. I was looking around to replace my rear red reflector off the rear mudflap and found this that should be an exact replacement (after measuring the original reflector and it's the same size with the same centre nut and bolt fitting) of the pretty useless reflector.

It's a very cheap mod, looks stealth, should have 2 brightness settings and give another brake light at the back.
Anyway, I've got some ordered and share how it looks on the bike when I get them.

Re: Brake LED replacing the rear reflector
That's a nice find mate! I will be waiting for more details and please show us how to install and wire into the bike because I have no clue about wiring in electrical accessories on PCX. I'm certainly dissatisfied with my reflective materials and I love a late summer night ride so this has caught my attention.

Re: Brake LED replacing the rear reflector
Here you go guys. It's not that hard. You just need to take off the top cover for the passenger grip and you should have enough space to splice the wires together. As I've got LED tail light replacement, the wiring colours may differ. But here's the photos which I hope is self explanatory
Wiring were red is brake + and black is -ve. No surprises

Re: Brake LED replacing the rear reflector
3 lines came out of the LED tail lights (it's a replacement tail light, not a bulb replacement). Red, yellow black. Yellow is parking lights. So for the wiring, red went with red, black went with black and if you want the constant parking lights, yellow on the bike with the blue in this LED reflector (I chose to leave this disconnected).

Re: Brake LED replacing the rear reflector
First of all, thank you homie for the Amazon link. I have been looking for a light to replace that reflector, but I couldn't find one that was that size. I would have loved to have 2 of them, since we have two bikes. Unfortunately the eBay link that SmellyTofu gave was for what I think is Australia, and I don't know if the cost would increase due to shipping. Therefore, I ordered it through amazon and will see how it works on my wife's bike first before ordering another. I had noticed in the past when riding that she had no low tail lights. There are now a lot of small cars on the road that sit low, such as the mini cooper, so I want to make sure that they see my brake lights as well as standard size cars do. So, once again, thank you for the link and thank you Smelly for starting this thread.

Re: Brake LED replacing the rear reflector
Ice the light comes in I will be glad to show picture of the inxtallwires and all. I have an advantage over some others because I have many, many lights hooked up already, so hooking this one up will mean taking the bike apart in the rear end for the ump-teenth time. I will take it to my basement work area and go to town on it.

Re: Brake LED replacing the rear reflector
Notice that my tablet makes up its own words. I can type a word and this thing will come right behind me and make the sentence look like a popsicle dripped on the hand written version of the constitution and made it into a blob. The words that started off with "Ice the light..." Was nothing like what I wrote. What I wrote....and I am going to try this again... "As soon as the light...". Wow, it left the words alone! Maybe my tablet is getting tired and is trying to cooperate.

Re: Brake LED replacing the rear reflector
Well i was surprised today. The light came in the mail, in a little box inside an envelope. When i opened the little box i found not one, but two lights! Now i can put one on each of our bikes, but not today. We have relatives coming over, plus my back feels like someone stepped on it. Guess it will be a rest day, but i will do the install once the bikes go back into their spot in the basement.

Mel, I think we have been hood winked on these low intensity LEDS. There are much better LED's on the market and these might not be worth installing.

Re: Brake LED replacing the rear reflector
I somewhat agree that these aren't worth installing because of the lack of lumens. Possibly they'd only be good as parking lights and nothing else but for a few dollars including postage, I don't know if I could have expected anything more.

Re: Brake LED replacing the rear reflector
Oh well, the product concept was there thinking about how many other motorbike uses this reflector but the execution failed miserably.
