installing the wire for the Tach without disassembling you PCX (ok one screw for side plate) and using their cable/wire brackets. This took me less than 10 minutes. (took longer to pause and take pictures)

Slide straightened hangar along throttle cable from back bottom angle up. It will slide right in. I used a plastic covered hangar.

Hangar end visible in wheel well

Tape wire end to second hangar (masking tape)

push hangar with wire from top through cable brackets and grab wire from wheel well

tape wire end to first hangar and pull hangar out. Fish through the Honda cable brackets.
Voila! Spark plug wire and a good bolt for ground behind side plate.

Ready to test the PCX with the tach today. They raised our forecast to 55 F, sunny, and very light wind. Should be a good day to wind it out more on the NCY stuff. Still on the original belt.

The results are in. I forgot to read the max rpm but will try in a second if it keeps it. Basically, I saw about 9100 rpm at 74 mph which seems to the limit with the old belt on. I guess I can give the new belt a try. It again never hit the rev limiter. It certainly pushes right past the 67-68 max I was getting before. I feel better on the highway with it this way.

It is nice to have a tachometer on the PCX too now. :D
