Re: Tall Windscreen For 2015 PCX150
Thanks pcxowner! Beautiful screen, and nicely shaped.
Google says the language is Korean and translates as follows:
Free attached event] GIVI HONDA olnyu PCX125 Long windscreen D1130ST, olnyu PCX125 Giant squid screen
Now, comparing the height of the National Cycle screen that Dean has, which is 14.75" vertical above the nacelle (the correct way to measure a parabola), and which Dean, at 5'9" says has wind at the top of his helmet...
...to the Givi D1130ST, which they say is 32"x21" linear. I just measured my PCX150 and that makes the Givi Screen about 1½" taller than the National Cycle screen. There is clearly a forward deflection at the top of the Givi, but, there is no way yet to know how much so, assume a 16-16½" net height.
I'm 6'1" and that puts the wind at the top of my faceshield.
The Givi is 6" wider and covers half of the grips. That could be sweet!

Re: Tall Windscreen For 2015 PCX150

Thanks pcxowner for providing that link! Yeh, we finally see it!!
It's tall

How many inches in height between the med. and the tall 2015 screen's?
For comparison, I tossed in the 2011-2013 tall screen. I like the 2015 tall better....better coverage & nicer shape

Re: Tall Windscreen For 2015 PCX150
Hmmm, well, viewed that way...
the tall Givi looks a lot taller than the medium. And I notice that the 323DT (2013 and prior) is the same height as the new D1130ST.
Anyone have the 323DT around here for a measurement from nacelle to top of screen?

Is the D1136ST already available with the D1130ST coming soon? I got an ad from Revzilla for the 1136:
http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/givi ... aQodDa0AbQ
$90, kinda tempting.

I was told by Givi that the D1130ST would be available ~ May. It is somewhat taller and wider than the D1136ST.
I plan to wait for the 1130. Thanks for letting us know about RevZilla.

I'll wait for the 1130 as well.
It might work for me with a Laminar Lip.
Or not.
My experience with the LL is that it produced unbelievable turbulence.
But that was a completely different configuration.

Re: Tall Windscreen For 2015 PCX150
Yeah, the Laminar Lip only works well on windscreens that come up to the riders nose area to start with. It lifts the airflow about
6 inches, so it needs to be mounted so that the lift puts the air flow from it above the rider's head. The LL that I tried on my Ducati's standard
windshield focused the airflow (turbulence) onto my face; however, when the LL was installed on a tall aftermarket screen, it gave much
better results. I'm hoping that the 1130 screen will do that on its own. Ideally, it should be at a height that allows the rider to be able to
look over the top of the screen....and still flip the air over the rider's head. Only time will tell.
I'm convinced that there is no perfect windscreen; however, a proper one can make riding a lot more enjoyable.

Exactly Johnny. Had to put that in therejblye wrote: Ideally, it should be at a height that allows the rider to be able to [just] look over the top of the screen....and still flip the air over the rider's head.Johnny

I see that the 1130 in the photo has the warning and inspection stickers on it. So it's already in production. I suspect it's selling somewhere.
It also does not appear to have any supporting arms at mid-level. That's over 600 sq/in held in by just the lower mounts at 60 MPH.
Must be some thick Lexan.

Re: Tall Windscreen For 2015 PCX150
Good upgrade word, Tribpreper !!!
By the way, when I get my tall windscreen, I'm going to install a Cateye 10 GPS digital speedometer (probably using Velcro) a couple of inches
from the top (rear side) of the windscreen. I've done that on my two previous motorcycles ( Honda ST1100 and a Ducati sport bike). That
places the speedo just slightly below the rider's direct line of forward sight.....very handy, and it gives a very precise reading. For me, the
digital (numerical) readout is more quickly grasped by my mind than having to look down at the regular speedometer. This time I'll be using
a GPS cyclometer rather than one which requires a magnetic pickup on the front wheel. I'll probably run a wire down to the 12V socket, install a
charger plug into the socket, and just leave the speedometer charging mount permanently attached. That way, the GPS speedo will always be
fully charged.
Also, I plan to attach a small prism (again, with Velcro) near the GPS speedometer that will (hopefully) allow me to see the turn signal lights
and warning lights without having to look down. Not sure about that one, but it should be an interesting experiment.
Fun stuff to play with !!!

Re: Tall Windscreen For 2015 PCX150
Had never heard of the Cateye 10 but looked it up. It's usefulness for cycling is obvious; small, light, low power.
This may be a foolish idea, right off the top of my head, but I have seen cheap back-up cameras / screen for $40. I wonder if one could mount the screen as you suggest and point the camera at the nacelle...?

Tribpreper
I'll keep the backup camera in mind; however, if a prism would work, that would be easier for a hillbilly like me to install.

Althougth we already know how the tall GIVI D1130ST looks like,
you can also have a look in the official GIVI site, as a picture of the new windscreen has just been added.

Re: Tall Windscreen For 2015 PCX150
I just received my Givi D1136ST from Revzilla last night and installed it on my 2015. This isn't the tall Givi, but if you are curious how it looks, here are a couple bad pictures:

I now hear a rattling at low speeds after I installed it, and I think that I didn't put the black plastic shield back on completely? I didn't want to pound it in too hard and break it, but I thought that I had it snapped in properly. It looked like the ends popped out after my ride (thank goodness for the screws holding it on) but then I popped it back in to where it felt secure. I'll have to test it again tonight. I suppose I may have to live with the rattling now.

NMpdx13 please, I would like to know where you live because I haven't received word of the D1136ST arriving at Revzilla. I added my name to their email list awhile ago. February was their due date for its' arrival. Are you in the States? What did it cost?
(Please add it to your profile as well. You can follow easy directions below my post).

dkazzed posted on Jan 30th a link to the D1136ST being available on RevZilla ( http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/givi ... aQodDa0AbQ ) and I was able to order it. I see now that it says "Out of Stock" so I probably got REALLY lucky, and maybe everyone was ordering the windscreen all at once!

And it looks like I paid $89.10 for it.
Looks like it is available here: http://www.sporttour.com/products/3801-GIVI-D1136ST-Windshield-Honda-PCX150-2015/

Your Fabbri screen is taller than the Givi medium height screen. Is that correct?
