Best Exhaust (UK)

Hey,

Can any of you UK people help me out....

I want to get another Exhaust for the new 2014 PCX,
not one that's massive, but not one that's tiny,
basically a nice looking one...
but I don't want to spend loads on it!

Also one where it can be simply switched off,
simply take it off the Engine and SwingArm, and put the new one on,
not messing with Carbs etc etc etc...

Any links, photos, prices you can send my way?

Noisier than standard, with the baffles in. Not tried with them out.

Checked with the IXIL importers site and not listed now. Shure it is still made in Spain. Not sure about fitment to 2015 model but mine was very easy. Got the same model exhaust on a 690 KTM, very well made.

Hence my question on noise, don't want something that sounds like Tom Jones gargling two wasps while riding a unicycle over cobbles downhill, while being chased by a deathmetal german band singing Celine Dion covers.

Maybe if they were pointed forward?

Granted, being rear-ended is always a possibility, but that's not as harmful as it would be if you were on a crotch rocket.

Personally, I've had one instance where I avoided slamming into a car next to me because I heard HIS engine before I saw him. While it works both ways, I'd like to think I'm also more attentive and would make better use of being able to hear what's around me at all times. Thus I prefer a quieter exhaust and would probably go out of my way to silence my engine if I were to upgrade to a bigger bike in the future.

Besides which, have you ever rode in a nice luxury car with the music on, even at moderate levels?

"Obnoxiously loud" might be the only way some people can hear you, hence why EMS sirens are only "loud" in a car, but makes your damn head ring when you're on your bike.

Well it's a twickle scooter so your noise, and saving lives, options are probly a bit restricted. But keep us up to date?
