NC750x DCT
I'm busy negotiating with a private seller to part with his bike for R70000 ($7000). He has it advertised for R79000. Comes with fitted side and top box as well as a touring screen.
I'm not 100% sure I want/need it though, as i'll have to sell the PCX to afford it:
Need
-sometimes the PCX just doesn't handle the strong side gusting wind where I commute
Want
-i'll be able to do longer tours on the NC750
The major downside is the worse fuel economy

Re: NC750x DCT
The fuel economy is still pretty good, you should be able to get 75mpg without even trying.
I had an NC750S for over a week recently and its a significant improvement over the 700 engine.
Personally I would go for the S with manual gearchange, that DCT will be a real bugger if it starts playing up.
The NC750S is a definite contender for my next steed....

Damn fine motorcycle.
Possibly the best on sale right now.

Re: NC750x DCT
Yes, the fuel economy isn't bad, but still not as good as the PCX
and with the ability to do longer rides, I probably will, which pushes the expenses up further

You can keep it, I don't want it
Re: NC750x DCT
Right now I don't want it either, but I might have one in the future.

Too bad the Integra turned out so much more expensive that it flopped out of existence.

Handa's DCT transmission is getting excellent reviews. Nothing like it. I'm seriously looking at the Honda CXT700N DCT.

I don't like the faired model. Kinda funny looking to me. But, that's me. Some people really like it.
Re: NC750x DCT
The only DCT transmission we get in Canada is the NM4. Some brain surgeon at Honda Canada does not like larger scooters or DCT transmissions on bikes.

Re: NC750x DCT
Have a look on the NC forums, a fair few tales of problems on DCT boxes.
Given how complex the mechanism is I can't see how DCT could ever be as reliable as a standard gearbox.
