Changing Battery
New battery will not go all the way into the battery box, the hold down strap hook is preventing it from going all the way in.

Re: Changing Battery
Remove the strap until the battery is in. I have yet to get the strap back in after pulling the battery. Maybe someone else has a better idea, but i have pulled the battery multiple times while taking the bike apart and that strap has been a major headache. Now one of our scooters has the strap connected, and the other doesn't. I am guessing that the strap keeps the battery from moving, but my battery are so tight in there that i can't imagine it moving.

Re: Changing Battery
Thank you!
Dom't know if removing the strap will help, it seems the strap hook is what is holding it up. I will try removing the strap, if that doesn't work I'll use a Dremel tool and cut the hook off.

Re: Changing Battery
i have just replaced my battery with a larger one that will not slide all the way in. I cant imagine it moving anywhere but wedging something down the side of the battery like half a peg or some folded up card should be suffice to prevent any movement.ppholmes7440 wrote:Thank you!

Re: Changing Battery
Problem solved, as much as can be!
The strap hook is supposed to fold down to allow the battery to fit, it could not fold down as there was not enough room in the case. Had to cut away part of the case to allow the strap hook to fold flat. Then put the battery in and even though the battery is the same part number as previous battery it is bigger. Am not using the strap and with the tight fit should not have any trouble with a loose battery.
Hope this resolution can help someone else.
Thanks to everyone for your help!

Re: Changing Battery
The PCX battery had an upgrade for the 2015 versions - larger capacity to help with the idle-stop 'taking it's toll' issues as well as auto-disable of idel stop if the battery gets to low in volts. Strange your one is larger size with the same PN.
