Hi everyone,
New member here from Thailand which I'm sure some of you are familiar with.
I bought a PCX 150 back in March as I wanted to pick up riding again after a 30 year hiatus. Enjoyed it so much that I went out and bought a Kawa Versys the following month. Now I'm Torn Between Two Bikes (hence T.B.T.B) but that's ok, I enjoy both and try to split my riding time equally.
For my PCX, I have a Givi T496 Tunnel Bag and T493 Soft Side Bags. For the Versys, I have a Held TankBag.
I'm thinking of purchasing a couple of Givi hard side cases for the Versys and a Givi top case that I can switch between the Versys and PCX. My questions are:
- which would be a suitable top case for both?
- monolock or monokey?
- what sort of racking would I need for the Versys, if I get either a monokey or monolock top case plus hard side cases?
The Givi website is not really helpful when it comes to trying to figure out what sort of configuration would be most ideal and the best compromise between price and storage.
I hope some of you more experienced city commuters and sports tourers can offer some advice.
Cheers
Advice please on top / side case mounts

Re: Advice please on top / side case mounts
Welcome to the forums!
Your best bet would be a monolock, they're larger and nicer, although I'm not sure if Givi makes a baseplate that will fit a monolock (most of their scooter topcases are in the monokey line). Actually, I don't think I've seen anything but a monokey on a PCX.
Givi's site is best if you search by bike... Here's the page for your Versys:
2006-2009: http://www.giviusa.com/My-motorcycle/?m ... 650-06--09
2010-2011: http://www.giviusa.com/My-motorcycle/?m ... Versys-650
The V35s should work: http://www.giviusa.com/Side-hardbags/Monokey--Side/V35 as side cases.
The E370 is the largest monolock I've seen on a PCX: http://www.giviusa.com/cases-top-case/Monolock-/E370
Use the universal mount from Givi for the PCX, and email Givi to see if the E370 will fit on one of the combination top / side racks for the Versys.
