Scooter riding in Vietnam Video

Post by fish »

Just watch a couple of the street intersections....Thrilling Adventure!
OK, so maybe it's not so bad having the only scooter for miles around.

Mine is too sexy to take out in crazy town like that. I would have to own a beater scoot for daily activity.

That is incredible! Did I see one motorcycle? The land of scoots for sure. Notice at 19:29 the Honda dealer. Wonder what the Air Blade is?

Welcome to my world! At 3.45 you'll see a driver hop on the sidewalk to pass traffic again at 4.45 you'll see several people use the sidewalk as a lane of traffic. At 5.30 and 6 minute mark you'll see several people driving in the opposite direction along the right shoulder. So a 2 lane road (in each direction) becomes 3 by adding a separate lane of travel (in the opposite direction.

:? I made it halfway through the video.....then I crashed. I think hmmm  on the sidewalk?

From where I sit, it doesn't look like much Fun riding there on any 2 wheeler (even 4).
Yes fish agree, having only a handful of scoots riding around is far better than Major scoot traffic!
I'll take "The Long and Winding Road......"

I've travelled to Bali, Thailand and Vietnam several times and never had the inclination to ride a scoot.

I'm not worried about the locals, they know how to drive in heavy traffic, it's the damn fool tourists in shorts and thongs (flip flops, sandals. jandals), usually drunk or bombed out on drugs that cause the accidents. :x :x (Old fart's rant) :D :D

Here in Oz where I live it's a rare day if I see more than one scoot when I'm out riding. It's definitely a motorist's world (mostly SUVs) here.
