It was raining in the morning, but it stopped by the time I headed out.

Still windy as hell. My helmet was getting pushed around even past the wind screen.

Ya'll might have read about our recent record breaking blizzard on Jan 23. Where we got 2' plus of snow. The drifts were ridiculously high.

Well, that was the 23rd....
Today, Feb 5th just past 12 noon and still snowing since 3am.
Weatherman drinking again? He said our area would get 4-6", he's So Wrong!
We're about a foot already!

It's a very wet snow, making it very heavy. Underneath lies pure ice!

As I type, I'm looking at the ice ring fully shaped under my truck.
Hmm, I do love skating.....

I can shovel later and maybe post a pic or two

By the way, it looks Beautiful! It's clinging to everything!! Then it falls heavy to the ground and re-builds again. Just a loverly sight

Maggie pawed her doggles off. I didn't realize it until I was going 45 and couldn't do anything about it.

Yes, it's great! I enjoyed a 30 kms ride to work this morning. Hope the fair weather stays intact till it's time to go home later this afternoon.

A series of powerful October storms will approach the BC South coast Wednesday night bringing heavy rains and strong winds. Rainfall will be heavy at times Thursday through Sunday. Rainfall amounts over the West and Inland areas of Vancouver Island may exceed 200 mm, while inner coastal regions may exceed 100 mm. Strong winds will accompany these storms as well. Winds over exposed coastal areas may exceed 80 km/h at times during the onset of the storms. Rainfall and wind warnings are anticipated as forecast details become clearer towards the start of the storm cycle.
Oh well-I guess the bike is staying in the shed.

Unseasonably warm in the Chicagoland area. Nearly 60 degrees yesterday. Saw lots of riders willing to fire up their bikes and ride. Not me though, the nice weather had me spending the day with the wife.
