I'll have to get the PCX out of the basement for that. I was turkey hunting this morning and am now doing fun chores and honey do's. I just adjusted the handlebars back a bit for my height on the V-Strom. Perfect now. Maybe after I install the new sink disposal that went out I will get them all out before the wife makes me try to sell one.

Now that it is broken-in I need to see how fast this thing will go w/o getting a ticket. They say expect just over 115 mph. About like a light sport airplane. The oil and plug magnet was clean as a whistle when I changed it yesterday... Not a sparkle of metal.

Thanks - I saw that. Now Twisted says they boosted the plastic thickness and cap robustness over the Agri tube which was like their old one which several have confirmed. Their tube is $16 but they are always high and I had points that made it $10 for me vs $5 for the Agri.

Parabellum windshield mounted. By adjusting the handlebars back a bit I didn't need the mirror offsets for the new WS they include. I speed tested this beast finally with the Givi case on and gave up at 100 mph but it still had a lot of steam left. I saw a cop as I got off of the interstate but I was back to 70 by then. That is fast enough for me once.

You're insane for getting it up around 100mph, the Strom is a squirrely beast much past 80.
I'm thinking about adding a CB radio and HAM radio to my Strom for travelling outside cell range with. That's the ONLY downside to a V-Strom, you can't stop adding farkles.
Currently ride: Nothing right now - mostly mountain biking with my boys until they're old enough to ride Previously rides: 2011 Honda PCX 125, 2005 V-Strom DL650, 1974 Vespa Ciao, 2011 Honda PCX 170 (tons of mods - takegawa 170cc big bore kit, gears, etc), 1996 Honda Nighthawk 250, 1987 Honda Spree, 2000 KTM 125SX, 2003 Honda Silverwing, 2007 Genuine Buddy 125, 1998 Honda PC800, 2008 Buddy 125 (white), 2008 Buddy 125 (red), 2001 Honda Reflex, 1987 Honda Elite, 1988 Honda Spree, 2007 Yamaha Vino, 2007 Honda Metro, 2x 125cc pure-chinesium dirt bikes
It seemed very stable at 100 mph but someone else told me to get the support between the forks to stabilize it at high speed like that more.
I have been having fun farkling it up for trips down into the Ozarks. The Adventure already comes with a lot of stuff but not everything for getting on the gravel fire and lumber roads. It definitely needs a power distribution box like the Beaver or Denali IMO next.
I am an old Ham operator as well and the cell signals are intermittent down there. Some beautiful country between northern Arkansas and southern Missouri. I have been doing the easy Ozarks on the Forza but always had to stop at the fire roads.
StromTrooper is loaded with information.

I'm farkling away too. So far I have the following on my bike;
Tall windscreen
Givi side panniers
Givi top box
Disc lock
Cramp buster
Amber light cover
Cigarette 12v socket connection with a USB adapter
Hand pump and puncture repair
Bunch of different straps
Rst motorcycle pant
A chain to lock up an additional helmet
I still want to get;
Hand guards
Bash plate
Radiator guard
Off road tyres
Led side lights
Cool. I was just looking at the Denali side lights yesterday. For now i may just do the Battery Tender connector and 12v power adapter as well. I may add a separate GPS.

Your list inspired me to get a Stop n Go motorcycle tire kit w/ compressor and a Crampbuster. What lights are you looking at? I will probably put them on the crash bars instead of the front forks. I keep getting told they are better higher.

Haha, I live in south Africa, and don't have as much choices. I'll get what ever lights that are available. I still have to go scrounge the local bike shops. I'm also a bit of a scrooge, so will spend a long time researching my options.
Yes, higher the better, as you'll get less shadows. Study also shows that if you get your lights to look like a face, people will see you better. True fact.....
Today I picked up two 30l heavy duty PVC dry sacks, in bright yellow, to strap over both panniers. Once I figure out how to strap everything, I'll take some pics
Are you getting used to the new bike? I decided after 600 miles I have bonded with mine.
The best part is accessorizing the V-Strom... F.A.R.K.L.E. -- Fancy Accessory Really Kool Likely Expensive
Bonding has occurred. I got about 300 miles so far. The CTX 700N handles really well and I'm getting comfortable on it. Like wei2go I have the DCT and really enjoying it.
