Heat, and significant difference, and on your own are fairly broad things. No offence.

Have you done anything a teeny bit more scientific?

That works out to be 175kg laden weight. Probably designed to take 80kgs two up.
You could probably replace the rear shocks to take more laden weight.

Or see if you can just get another PCX? or another bike, rather then risk pushing your current one beyond Honda's specified limits?

I can feel my will to live ebbing away already. Something in the low 30s the for the front and high 30s for the rear is good for any modern bike

The rear tyre on a scooter may feel warmer to the touch (and that isn't necessarily a bad thing) because if has a more direct heat line to the engine than a motorcycle as the engine and rear drive are a unit. And heat sinks
Anyone ever sit a bike on the scales? I bet the majority of the load weight is on the rear tire.. . Forza says 25 PSI for the front ....no matter the load !!
You go much above that and you will lower the contact patch and beat your bike up...and you. Too little air causes massive heat build-up, and will cause tire failure....it does every day. Too much sidewalk flex pumps heat into the tire = tread delamination.
Follow the scooter's manual ....not the printing on the tire. Tires can support much more static weight than can the scooter!

Now on the short term, the rear tire getting really hot, is there a cause for concern?

As for that picture, sure i wouldnt mind over loading but we're going 55+ mph... lol

Are you concerned about the braking distances? That is a very short term issue in my book.

Rear tyre is right next to the exhaust and is always hotter then the front. But if the tyre gets really, really hot - and more importantly - hotter then riding solo then you are overloading it. If the tyre can´t take the load, it can fail.

I worked in Auto wheel manufacturing for five years....

The general rule for car wheels is that each wheel had to be able to support the entire weight of the car.

The rule of thumb in consumer engineering is that the quoted spec is 50% of the actual rated spec...

Just dont try to claim damage on warranty...
Trust me, I'm a chemist....
