MFR 2 variator

Post by Pcxdemon »

My new favourite! Low speed control is excellent, no vibrations what so ever and no need for washers to retune. Works like a Honda designed it but better. Acceleration is fantastic, keeps pulling speed effortlessly and on wot from the lights will pull front wheel up in the air just of throttle alone..
Top speed on the stand is 134kmh but on the road without taller screen I'm getting 126kmh. So not as fast as Daytona in top end (132kmh on the road) but it's so fantastic everywhere else.
It's perfect and I'm in love!! The vario with sliders next to it is takegawa..

I'll be glad to get rid of the shudder that is still there from time to time from take-off. Only real bug-bear I have with the PCX. Surprised as other scooters I've been on and old, well used Leads, never had this issue. Slow start at walking pace, learners doing their CBT, etc, the Lead was smooth compared to slow start on the PCX.

Can anyone advise if the MFR Sports Pulley Kit shown here: http://japan.webike.net/products/21240547.html is suitable for PCX 150 bikes made in Vietnam (export model not Thailand model)?

Apologies for the dumb question, it ain't dumb for me, I can do much better dumb than that without even trying. :D :D

All varios are interchangeable between models. I'm using mfr2 vario that's advertised for esp Pcx 125 on my non esp model. Although I think it's important to remember that there are different belt sizes for all Pcx models (3 diff sizes) so if you going to use aftermarket vario from newer or older model one has to get a corresponding belt for that model vario you would just buy. Belt too short or too long will make all the difference between getting maximum from the newly acquired vario or make it seem crap.
