Anyone else notice the luggage box screws backing out on there own? It's unlikely I failed to tighten them both during reassembly. I think it's time for a complete fastener check at 2500 miles.

Mine are okay. Can you use a bit of Loctite Threadlocker (Blue 242) nut and bolt thread locker on them to keep them tight? The packaging states, "for metal parts only, not to be used on plastic parts." Shoot, the screw is metal. What up?

Thanks for checking WN, maybe I did get distracted and forget to snug those down. No special effort yet I'll watch them for a few miles. I bet I could use trim clips instead of screws if these are not going to stay put after one teardown.

If you do end up wanting to use a drop of threadlocker, use Loctite blue ONLY. The red will require heat and much effort to get apart (since it is basically epoxy). I expect that the screw is metal and goes into metal threads so the product is OK, but you might want to be careful about accidentally getting it onto the plastic.

The type of thread used for the body panels won't make a difference with using loctite. The threads are too coarse.

Just tighten them when you can. I had a couple rattle off, and have replaced them since.
