Seat removal
Hi, Sorry I don't have a service manual yet, but does anyone know how difficult it is to remove the seat on my Forza? I am a short (very old) guy. The seat height is fine, but it is too wide and makes it difficult to get flat foot contact at stops. If I scoot forward to where the seat is narrower I can touch flat foot no problem, but would like to shave a bit off the sides to narrow the profile. Thanks in advance for any advice

Re: Seat removal
Did you look underneath?, I'm sure it's a couple bolts and such. See the tech DIY section for help.

Re: Seat removal
Hi Glen: Finally got around to try to remove the seat. I raised the seat and removed the four visible bolts and the lift rod mechanism, but this done nothing to release the seat. Wondering if the side panels have to come off, but have no idea how to do that. Anyone have knowledge of how to do this? I want to get the seat reworked
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Seat removal
according to my service manual book what you have done should work
it says
open the seat..//..Remove the joint( ie the bolt/bar which the seat pivots on) and the dampner..//..remove caps (4) ,nuts and seat. ( it does say 4 caps/nuts).
Installation is in reverse order
Thats it according to the service book

Re: Seat removal
Hi Degrav: Thanks very much for your reply. I did finally manage to figure it out by studying an exploded view of seat components. The plastic piece at the front of the seat is actually the hinge. removed two screws and four nuts and seat just lifts off the plastic piece (ten minute job). I can now take my seat to have it reupholstered and reshaped.
Thanks again
