I'm going on a weeklong plus scooter trip. I will be going on my Honda PCX 125 which has precious little storage under the seat. So I'm looking for some ideas of roll blankets, soft luggage, and other ways to pack up clothes and a sleeping bag that I can tie down to the rear portion of the PCX's bench seat.
Thinking about one of the Kriega backpacks. I do have a huge chrome messenger bag but not sure how comfy it would wearing it days on end. What I don't want is to buy any side cases or luggage that hangs over the sides.
Has anyone toured with a large messenger style bag?
Any ideas welcomed. Pictures in this context probably worth a whole post if you have some!!!

I am a relatively novice rider, but something I learned on these forums is that riding with a backpack on increases the risk of greater injury should you get in an accident. The backpack may get hung up on something when you go down.

I never wear a backpack, I wear a camelbak at most. It's unsafe.
Here's how I've packed my PCX:

Without the rear rack, you can bungee a backpack to the seat or simply put the arm straps under the seat, with the backpack on top, then close the seat.
Either way... Don't wear a backpack.

The thing I find I'm reaching for the most is a flashlight, checking the cotter pins and looking for stress cracks and fluid leaks LOL
