too much freeplay in throttle

Post by McGee »

could someone advice me how to adjust too much freeplay in my throttle?
I would like to be kept as low as possible. Adjustment on the Handle or the Carburettor?
If someone could please point me in the right direction.
Advice reinforced with images from a Handbook would be deeply appreciated

McGee,

Given your location pop down to Honda. Ask them to adjust it. Shouldn't cost more than 100 baht.

BTW there are two different versions. One has two cables the other only one.

Normal free play from conventional wisdom is about 3mm or 1/8 in old money.

But as there was some doubt and the OP lives in Thailand, where adjustment would cost less than $3, it only makes sense to go to the dealer.
