Has PBPCX stopped taking orders for custom seats?

Post by IndyDakota »

I have contacted them several times and attempted to ask questions but they won't answer my questions. All they do is redirect me to their website.
I have responded in the hopes of getting a dialogue going but they just respond by directing me to their website.

I've been pouring over a lot of the threads here and with the exception of a few members, it seems like a majority have had successful transactions
with them which is why is really too bad. Maybe I'm missing the secret hand shake or bat signal.
That's fine. If they don't want my money, I'm sure someone else does. I don't want to waste any more time on them.

With that said, is Noiwatdan a respectable resource?
http://www.noiwatdan.com

I have heard more bad, then good about Bikerbitz so I hardly think I'll be dealing with them.

The seat I would really like is this one in this photo which I found on this site. (scroll near bottom of page)

I know this will sound stupid but I know absolutely nothing about facebook. Is this some random dudes face book fetish collection of seats? Is it a legit seller. Honest question.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Even though I don't post her often, I do spend alot of time lurking.

Cheers,
Ken

mp.motor@yahoo.com

Send an email to this individual. He can get you any seat you want and can even customize one to your specs. He is associated with the facebook page you show above. Send him a picture of the seat you are interested in to make things easier. I bought my custom seat from him. He kept in constant contact with me during the product build and transport.

Hi Mel, Thanks for the tip. I had my daughter help me translate facebook as she speaks it fluently.

She was able to sus out MP Motor's email for me. I sent them an email late last night and I had a response first thing this morning.
He can do the custom seat with a flat pan shipped for 160 USD. He did say I wouldn't be able to put a FF helmet under the seat with this pan which I can live with.

With all of that said, I would really prefer a custom seat like your's as I love the bucket style but I'm afraid something will get buggered up in translation and I'll be stuck with an incorrect seat.

Reading from other threads I understand you are, correct me if I'm wrong, 5'10 and have the custom bucket that has been set back 2 1/2" because of your back brace correct?
If so, how do you like it? I'm 6' w/ 32" inseam and I'm heavily considering your seat.

I love my seat. Just remember, for translation purposes, that the back support on the seat is called a back brace. They actually have a seat with a back support on it. I considered it but my doctor prescribed back brace will not work with that type of seat. The custom one gave me room to actually wear the back brace my doctor prescribed for me. When I am not wearing it I still have room to slide back on long rides. Because it was custom made the back brace they installed it not rigid, but rather is foam. Still, it acts as a stopping point and comfortably fits just below my belt line. IF I ever order another seat it will be through them. They buy from the same seat maker as all of the other websites in Thailand but they talk directly with the manufacturer as it is being made. I gave them a drawing of the exact distances I needed it to be back and they followed my instructions. If you know of anyone else who has gotten a seat from Thailand, sit on it so that you can get a good idea of what their NORMAL set-up is before ordering one. That way you can have them adjust their measurements just for you.

Thanks.

Yeah, I'm once again struggling between the two seats. On the one hand I want the flat style so I can slide back and forth when I want.
On the other hand I want the bucket so I can cradle.

I guess I have to make a decision. I've been struggle with this for a couple weeks now.
Sooner I order, sooner I can start researching windscreens.

Cheers all,
Ken

I've got a 2013. The more I think about it, the more I'm leaning towards a flat seat.
I like the flexibility of being able to move anywhere on the seat.

As for windscreen, I like the look of the Ermax25+ but I haven't done much research into it yet.
